Voluntary Transfer Request Form –SUMMER SCHOOL

 

The Summer School Teacher position will support the 2024 Summer Academy program, which will take place from June 24 -July 19, 2024, excluding July 4 and 5th. Instruction will occur at Marcus Whitman Middle School on a Monday through Thursday schedule from 8:45 - 12:30 PM.  

 

The selected candidate will work up to 71 hours to meet the needs of this program (not to exceed 71 hours) and will be compensated at their per diem rate of pay, inclusive of benefits, to be distributed on the August 2024 payroll. The tentative required commitment of hours is outlined as follows:

 

Teaching positions will be based on enrollment and may remain unfilled, or canceled, if enrollment is insufficient for the program to be operational.

 

The primary learning focus is credit recovery.  The content areas for in-person course offerings with be English/Language Arts, Social Studies, Math, and Science. Anticipated courses include Algebra, Geometry, Advanced Algebra, Physical Science, ELA 9-12, and US History. However, all course offerings will be based on student need for credit retrieval.
