Summary:

The job of PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSISTANT is done for the purpose of providing physical therapy, under the direction of certificated staff, to improve motor development of students. This support position will be assigned to the Office of Special Services and report to Executive Director of Office of Special Services.

Specific skills required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: none specified

 

Customer Service – Maintains professional demeanor when dealing with difficult or emotional situations; responds promptly to staff, student and public needs; solicits feedback to improve service; responds to requests for service and assistance;

 

Mathematical Skills –ability is required to perform basic math, including calculations using fractions, percent’s, and/or ratios; read a variety of manuals, write documents following prescribed formats, and/or present information to others; and understand complex, multi-step written and oral instructions. Specific knowledge required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job includes: ASL or SEE (with requirement to attain the second skill within timeframe established by the District
